Itinerary

Day 1 :

Board an overnight flight from Denver to Tivat or Podgorica Airport .

Day 2-4 : Budva

Your arrival day we will meet you with vans for a short drive when you have first excitement in Budva , the central point of Montenegro coast. You join welcome dinner and stay in private villas, in medieval fortress, built in the 15th century , which is only a few minutes walk to the beach.

Next day, you will be fascinated by virgin nature of the Budva coast which is 21 km long with 17 beaches. It is among the most beautiful coasts in the world. Enjoy full day of excursion by walking along the beach , visit a scenic island Hamlet from 15 th century, go shopping and enjoy yourself in one of many cafes with the unique atmosphere of old Mediterranean town. A chill out atmosphere among host and all participants will be shown during complimentary breakfast and dinner.

The last day in here will be a fun adventure hiking on Coastal Trail, with amazing view of coastline. Breakfast provided.

Day 5-6 : Kotor

Experience an opportunity to see the unique natural beauty of Boka Bay and to get to know its history, culture and architecture. For energetic participants we will have hike up the 20m high and 4,5km long old fortress wall. Sightseeing and visiting St. Tripun Cathedral and Maritime Museum . Drive along the coast to Perast; boat ride to Lady of the Rock island . We will a visit a monastery on the island. Enjoy typical menu provided for breakfast and dinner.

Next day you will continue journey to old capital Cetinje and after visiting King Nicola's museum we will have special homemade brunch at Rada's mom house in Podgorica. Afterwards, you will be taken through spectacular Platije Canyon to Stavna, a Shepard's village in Komovi Mountain . All meals provided.

Day 7 : Vasojevicki Kom

Last day in Kotor will be hiking to Vasojevicki Kom 2487m. Along the way we will hang out with sheep herders. All meals provided.

Day 8 : Biogradska Gora and Durmitor National parks

Morning, flower hike. In the afternoon, you will travel to Biogradska Gora National Park , and take a light walk around this attractive lake through lush primeval forest. Then you will continue on to Zabljak in Durmitor National Park . Accommodation in Zabljak will be in Eco village Podgora in private homes. During the stay in Zabljak all the meals will be provided by our hosts and you will be eating home grown hearty food. All meals provided.

Day 9 : Ice Cave of Ledena Pecina

Hiking to the most beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in the Balkans area , with a depth of 35 m it is rich in unique ice formations which is known as Ledena Pecina. All meals provided.

Day 10 : Jablan Lake/Tara Canyon

Started in the morning for half day hiking to Jablan Lake . You will have lunch in Shepard's home. Then in the evening, you will continue hiking to the Rim of Tara Canyon. All meals provided.

Day 11 : Bobotov Kuk peak/Durmitor

Hiking to Bobotov Kuk peak, 2.522 m., and the highest peak in Durmitor. This is “C” rated hike with some exposure, but there will also be an easier hike available. All meals provided.

Day 12 -13 : Tara River

Your adventure will be more worth while with rafting down Tara River (rated 3-4). Longest Montenegrin River (144km.) famous for its crystal clear water and intact surrounding nature which is a unique natural basin of inexplicable beauty. Tara River runs through one of the most beautiful canyons in the world, with depths to 1,300 m. You will stay overnight in a motel on the banks of the Tara River . All meals provided.

Day 14 : Niksic town / Bare Sumanovica village

You continue to southwest, towards Niksic town , through picturesque areas with stops at scenic places. (Trsa, Pluzine, Piva Lake and Piva Monastery). Then you will arrive to the center of universe, Bare Sumanovica village , from which Rada's family originates and owns an old stone house, surrounded by vineyards, meadows and forests. You will spend a relaxing evening here and celebrate with her family and friends. Accommodation will be in villager's houses. All meals provided.

Day 15 : Skadar Lake

After a delicious home made breakfast, driving to Skadar Lake., visiting some charming fisherman's villages, doing an easy hike. Driving back to Podgorica, where your lodging will be an old rustic hotel . All meals provided.

Day 16 : Denver

Transfer to Podgorica / Tivat / Dubrovnik airports to board your home bound flight.
